Description
The plains Indians were dependent on the Buffalo, nearly everything the Indians required to live comfortably was provided by the buffalo. White hunters decimated the once great herds during the late nineteenth century, and the end of the Plains Indian culture was to soon follow. “Winters Trail” symbolically depicts the approaching disappearance of the buffalo.
